Delta®-Drain

Delta®-Drain
is an effective method to control the flow of damaging soil moisture through cracks and gaps in below grade structures, while relieving hydrostatic pressure. It is comprised of a multi-layer geo-composite combining a high compressive strength core with a geo-textile, bonded to the core for lasting durability. Delta®-Drain creates an essential path for the vertical and horizontal drainage of soil moisture and filtering of soil particles.

Delta®-Drain has been used in a wide variety of exterior applications where redirection of ground water and pressure relief are of primary concern. Delta®-Drain is typically used in conjunction with liquid and sheet applied waterproofing membranes and as a stand-alone drainage composite for civil engineering applications.

Description:
Delta®-Drain is a convenient, economic and environmentally sound subsurface drain board that is specially designed for easy use ad versatile application. The specialty TYPAR® geotextile screens out soil. Delta®-Drain and its high flow capacity core ensure effective drainage for virtually any construction project. This also enhances waterproofing and relieves hydrostatic pressure buildup against subterranean surfaces. Delta®-Drain offers the largest variety of sizes on the market today.

Application:
- Vertical Drainage Component of
Waterproofing System

Foundation or wall should first be prepped, coated with waterproofing membrane, and allowed to cure per manufacturers instructions. Stand rolls upright and unroll around foundation with fabric facing away from wall. Cut flush with top of grade (or transition where drainage mat is not required such as a brick ledge). Make sure not to damage previously applied waterproofing membrane. Seams should be overlapped at least 1’, there is no need to seal the seams when asphalt or other soft waterproofing membranes are used behind Delta®-Drain. Seams should be overlapped at least 1’ and sealed with BoneDryTM Trowel Grade asphalt mastic in the absence of a waterproofing membrane behind Delta®-Drain.

  - Vertical Drainage for Retaining walls or Hydrostatic Pressure Relief
Cracks and form ties in wall should be prepped with RocLocTM hydraulic cement and covered with BoneDryTM Trowel Grade asphalt mastic. Stand rolls upright and unroll around foundation with fabric facing away from wall. Cut slightly above top of grade (or transition where drainage mat is not required such as a brick ledge. Seams should be overlapped at least 1’ and sealed with BoneDryTM Trowel Grade asphalt mastic in the absence of a waterproofing membrane behind Delta®-Drain.
